The Gilded Teafling Turnovers

These Apple Turnovers made with The Gilded Teafling Caramel Chai are bound to be a fan favorite at any gathering.

Ingredients:

  • Two apples

  • 8 Oz Brown sugar

  • 1 Tbs Gilded Teafling Chai

  • 2 oz Syrup

  • 4 oz Confectioners Sugar/Powdered Sugar

  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon

  • Optional: Cloves, Walnuts

  • Puff Pastry Dough

Instructions:

  1. Dice the Apples

  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Throw the apples and brown sugar into a pot on low heat, slowly stir in syrup, and begin preparing your The Gilded Teafling Chai

  3. Stir the apples/brown sugar/syrup mix occasionally; meanwhile, cut the dough into 3x3-inch squares; they shouldn't be more than ~1/6 inch thick. Add a bit of the chai to the apple/brown sugar/syrup mixture.

  4. Ladle 1 tablespoon into each square, favoring 1/2.

  5. Fold the other half over it to create a triangle. Use a fork to crease the dough. Repeat.

  6. In another bowl, stir confectioners' sugar with The Gilded Teafling chai and the syrup/remaining cinnamon filling to create a glaze.

  7. Glaze the turnovers, pop them in the oven for 20 minutes, let them cool, and enjoy a tasty treat!
