Morning Sleepyhead: Sparkling Tea Lemonade Recipe

🌺 While we patiently waited to announce the arrival of Morning Sleepyhead by Calypso, our team at The Gilded Teafling got the chance to taste and get to know this refreshing brew. There are many ways to drink tea other than the hot kettle and a teacup. Tea can be used in many different recipes, whether that’s in tinctures for cocktails, as a flavoring for baked goods, or even as an added twist to refreshing drinks! Today, we are going to teach you one of our favorite ways to drink tea, as a sparkling lemonade! 

🍋Most people are familiar with the Arnold Palmer, a beloved drink that rose in popularity in the mid-1950s. Many variations of this drink have been made since then, and here at The Gilded Teafling, we revel in the idea of using our teas to make refreshing summer drinks! We have created our own version of a sparkling Arnold Palmer with our new tea, Morning Sleepyhead by Calypso! The delightful fruit flavors in Morning Sleepyhead pair so well with lemonade, and a little bit of club soda or seltzer water adds a zing of freshness. Check out our recipe below!

    Morning Sleepyhead by Calypso

    Sparkling Tea Lemonade

    Ingredients

    Instructions

    • In a separate cup, steep 2 oz of Morning Sleepyhead by Calypso in 4 oz of hot water (175°F) for 4-5 minutes. Strain and let cool. If you would like your tea to be stronger, let it steep for longer!

    • To a glass full of ice, add your cool tea, 8 oz of lemonade, and simple syrup. Stir until combined.

    • Top off with club soda and enjoy a refreshing summertime drink!
